Synopsis

On a sun-drenched Greek island during World War II, the lives of villagers are forever altered by the arrival of occupying forces — and the unlikely romance that blossoms between a spirited local woman and an Italian officer. Sweeping, lyrical, and achingly beautiful, this adaptation of de Bernières’ beloved novel is a moving celebration of music, memory, and the resilience of love in the face of war. Bring a handkerchief.
